There is a general store on Fripp island where you can pick up items you may have forgotten when shopping in town at the grocery store. Now......a little about Fripp Island! The most seaward of the beautiful barrier islands of South Carolina, Fripp Island is 3000 acres of natural beauty. Designated as a Wildlife Sanctuary, more than 175 species of birds live along the ocean and Great Salt Marsh. Any given day you can spot majestic brown pelicans flying in formation or great blue herons, snowy white egrets and wood storks stalking their next meal. Among the native wildlife you will find raccoons, alligators and an abundance of deer, more than 250 at last count. The ocean abounds in bass, trout, flounder, grouper and blue crabs. Dolphins play in the waters surrounding Fripp Island. Even the endangered loggerhead turtle makes the island a nesting ground laying as many as 125 eggs in one nest. This condo features tile throughout, fresh paint, beadboard walls, flat screen TV w/vcr & dvd player, and a three disc CD wall system. Our condo is fully stocked with the basic essentials for cooking and cleaning, we supply paper towels, surface cleaner, dish detergent, salt, pepper, cooking spray, olive oil, coffee, sweet & low etc., as well as the basic towels, sheets, hair dryer, and a few extras in case you forgot something. We think this is the perfect location for a romantic get-away for a couple or a great spot for a couple with two children. We have a queen-size bed with two bunkbeds in the hall (there is a pocket door for privacy). The Olympic pool is just outside our front door and the ocean is just steps behind us. Any information we provide on length of time available during high tides is subject to change. So, for 796 Marlin, we recommend that you use the beach access to the south, but at the moment, you can use either access for 24 hour beach access. On Fripp Island, the beach access are built 1 for every 10 homes.
