Description:Luca’s House is an old country small-holding dating back to the 19th century. Built entirely in stone it has been renovated respecting the typical architectural characteristics of the area blended with touches of artistic masonry. The result is a small ‘village’ whose rustic hospitality has grown over the years so that an ‘agriturismo’ or farmhouse accommodation ,for 6 person, has been created. Two apartments are also available for long or short stays for 7-8 people .The surrounding area Located in the area where the Maremma and the Val D’Orcia Nature Park meet, Mount Amiata is an ancient volcano (1774 m.) with an abundance of underground thermal waters. People can ski at the top of the mountain whose slopes reach down to the outskirts of the Argento coast. Skiing: the ski slopes are about 10 minutes by car from the farm. In winter there are several kilometers of slopes equipped with two chair lifts and ski lifts. The closest thermal bath (20 minutes by car) is at San Filippo in the area there are thermal baths at Bagni Vignone or San Casciano up to those at Petriolo and Saturnia. Mount Amiata has always been a crossroads of intense spiritual activity thanks to its churches and to the Via Francigena which flanks it in the north. At the beginning of the 19th century it witnessed the rise of David Lazzaretti’s social-Christian community on Mount Labro. At the moment it is home to Merigar, the seat of the Dzogchen Community, one of the biggest Tibetan Buddhist centres in Italy whose monuments attract tourists from all over the world every year. Description:Since 1998 our family grows our land by organic agriculture. Our farm consisting of ten hectars of: olive groves, orchard, kitchen garden, pasture and wood lands. The farmhouse is inside in no hunting zone, of very naturalistic importance, rich of wildflowers and wildlife: hares, pheasants, roes, wild boars and many kind of birds. From the house, by paths in the fields, on arrive to Badia di Morrona, ancient monastery of Camaldoli's Friars (XI century). Valleantica is far 12 km. from the thermae of Casciana Terme, is situated in the famous landscape of Tuscan hills, and it is an excellent point of departure to arrive to the most interesting places in Tuscany:Firenze e Siena a 80 km., San Gimignano 50, Pisa e Lucca 40, Volterra 25, Livorno and Thirrenian Coast 30. The farmhouse is divided into two floors: the upper one occuped by the family, the ground floor dedicated to our guests. It is a flat of 70 mq., free from architectural barriers, open all the year. It consists of a large kitchen-stay with fireplace, two double rooms, four beds, large bathroom, wide outer space with pergola. Lucca town is a 10 km/ 6 miles drive away from the house. The distance to Pisa airport is approx. 35 km, whereas Florence city its famous walls enclose a place that can be walked or cycled with ease yet remains full of secrets. Lucca one of Italy's finest medieval treasures, the centre is unspoilt and is sprinkled with palazzi, towers and almost countless splendid churches. The accommodation comprises of a good size lounge with sofa and dining areas, leading into a 'living' kitchen with original fireplace from where you can reach the main bedroom and bathroom across a small corridor. The lounge includes a large double pull out bed as well as a settee. The bathroom is fitted with a shower cubicle, washbasin, bidet and toilet. The large double-bedroom is furnished with wooden interiors. The kitchen is fully fitted.. Bed linen and towels are provided. The Lucca apartment was totally renovated and refurnished during the last winter and all interiors are new and in perfect condition, giving the apartment a fresh and clean feeling. Gas and electricity are at extra cost, we only charge for what you use. Description:Comignano country-house Comignano country house was in ‘800 and in ‘900 a wonderful agricultural farm that produced fruits for the whole Mugello valley. It was built, in late 1700, with a functional project: to build it at the bottom of a natural basin. The reason for this was to let carts, loaded with agricultural products, reach the house going downhill, with less effort for men and animals. The farm building, following customs of the period, was started after a meticulous watching of the place by masons who were used to choosing the best place to build, through careful thought, after having slept there some nights in winter and summer. Territorial plentiful waters are free from any contamination and reach the country house by a spring and an artesian well. The water coming from the well has beneficial diuretic effects, coming directly from the taps to drink. Following farmer’s customs, there is also a rainwater harvesting of 20.000 liters. In uncultivated areas you can find, amidst the natural vegetation, ancient fruit trees that bear record to times when those places were intensively cultivated. You can find them along the stream Lora that marks the boundary of what remains of a big farm that in the beginning of 1900 extended for hundreds of hectares. During the second half of 1900, the abandonment of agricultural work towards industry, led to the degradation of this agricultural land. At the end of the second world war, in 1943 the house was blasted leaving intact the only loft that has now been recovered and restructured. The blasted house was rebuilt in the same place but with a new and different shape and in the ’50s lodged a rural school in part of it. It has been lived in by farmers until 1980 and then put on sale in the ’90s when we bought it. The abandonment of agriculture and the consequent absence of chemical treatments, has helped the preservation of rich and full fauna environment, as much as the presence of insects that are their food source. Now we use part of the arable land as orchard, part as kitchen garden, but the most part is left on loan to the neighbouring sheep breeding (that you can also reach afoot, pictures on the slide show) where you can buy very good cheese and fresh ricotta, made by sheep’s milk grazing under your eyes.... more info >>

Our villa is what you are looking for.Located in one of the most beautiful tuscan landscapes, it is an enchantingly renovated old country house set on the hillside near the little town of Palaia (Pisa) and surrounded by a marvellous natural fresco where flowers, olives and vineyards are some of the main subjects. The accommodation is completely furnished in a rustic way, with traditional floors and nice wooden beam-ceilings. On the ground floor you can find the kitchen/dining room complete with oven, big wooden dining table, a large hob, freezer and fridge. The sitting room, where you can relax by the fire on two comfortable sofas and listen to some good music, is carefully furnished and communicates with the dining room. The bathroom is also on the ground floor and has a roomy shower, basin, w.c. and bidet. Upstairs there are two bedrooms, the first one with a double bed (or twin beds), excellent wardrobe and TV and the second with a double bed (or twin beds), TV and DVD as well. Every little detail has been chosen with much care and interest. From our property guests may reach every interesting historical city or important seaside resorts in more or less one hour. The estate, completely isolated from noise and pollution of towns, is ideal for those who look for relax and privacy. The house is equipped with all the modern facilities to make your stay as pleasant and easy as possible. There is nothing more to say now it is time to see our house with your own eyes! It is part of an old farm house, property of our family, which we have restaured. The house has two apartments (this one and a bigger one for 4-6 people) each with his own entrance. Outside there is a common garden where You can relax during the beautiful Tuscan evenings. The apartment has been created to accommodate 2 people and is particularly suitable for couples, spouses or a couple of friends who have a car and want to do a tour of Tuscany. It represents also an excellent solution for a family with one young son for this solution the living room is provided with a sofa bed. The apartment is approx. 70 square meters and consists of: a large living room that includes a typical Tuscan kitchen with stove, refrigerator and dishwasher, table and chairs, traditional fireplace, a sofa and a TV, one bedroom with a double bed in wrought iron and a private bathroom with shower, sink and toilet and a washmachine. The interiors and furnishings are Tuscan style. Most of the objects and furnishings are from the family. The price is very actractive. We have started our activity recently (in 2011) and we have decided, for 2012, to offer our guests the possibility to stay in a very beautiful and relaxing apartment at a very promotional price. Linen and towels are included in the price and will be changed once per week.
