Description:Talamone is a delightful coastal village lying on a small promontory overlooking the gulf at Argentario and behind is the Maremma Nature Park. These days it has become a well known resort with a well equipped port for tourism, and the bay is ideal for all kinds of sailing: the colours of the wind-surfers, kite surfers and sailing boats are an integral part of seascape. Villa Lantana is in the village of Fonteblanda, less than 5 kms from Talamone and looks right onto the gulf with the same name. The villa is surrounded by large, beautiful grounds, very well looked-after with flowers, hedges, grass and tall trees on terraces gradually descending towards the sea, and on the final terrace is a prefabricated swimming-pool, served by a wooden platform. Next to the swimming-pool a gate leads to the beach, which is not private, but usually almost deserted. The villa is furnished with excellent quality furniture in traditional style and has all modern comforts such as dishwasher, washing machine, barbecue, telephone. In the garden near to the entrances to the living-room and the kitchen are two large verandas covered by climbing plants which enjoy the cool air coming from the sea. Description:This tower stands sentinel above a sheer drop down to the sea in the nature reserve in the Maremma about 7 km from the village of Talamone and 3 km from Fonteblanda, where you will find all the services you might need. It lies in a very panoramic and tranquil position, overlooking the bay of Talamone and with a view stretching as far as the promontory of Argentario. It has its own path down to the sea with a furnished sunbathing platform, that can be reached via a short flight of steps carved into the rock. At the foot of the tower they have made two terraces, in the first terrace they have placed a 6x4 m swimming-pool, which has a beautiful view, and in the second, surrounded by vegetation, they have created a belvedere for enjoying the view, with sofas and chairs for taking the sun. Torre Etrusca is on two floors: on the top floor you will find the large salon with extensive panoramic windows, and direct access to the terrace that dominates the bay. The furnishings are sober and very refined, in tune with the ancient Spanish structure, built to stem the incursions by the Saracens. It is equipped with all the best creature comforts, such as satellite-TV, stereo with CD player, telephone with internet access. From the villa you can take many interesting trips both into the Maremma with its villages and landscapes that have hardly changed, or to the more famous bathing resorts. Porto Santo Stefano is about 15 km away. We should also mention the excellent Maremman cuisine and its wines that can be enjoyed in the many restaurants in the area. nGROUND FLOOR: going into the entrance hall on the left you come to the kitchen with dishwasher and oven, on our right a small room with a dining corner and fireplace, along with two twin bedrooms with bathroom, one with shower and the other with bath-tub, then at the end of the corridor the third twin bedroom with bathroom with bath-tub and shower. nFIRST FLOOR: from the corridor on the first floor, up some stairs you come to a large salon with air-conditioning and fireplace, and from here you can admire a 180c2b0 view with sofas and chairs on one side and on the other a dining area with separate kitchenette. From the salon you access a large terrace, furnished with an outside dining area and relaxation zones, overlooking the sea with a view from the promontory of Argentario as far as Talamone. nRAISED FLOOR: if you go through the small room on the ground floor and go up a brief flight of stairs, you come to the old watch tower, where they have made a double bedroom with fireplace with dressing-room and small bathroom with shower. nAll of the rooms have a panoramic view, have mosquito netting at the windows and there are ceiling-fans in the bedrooms on the ground floor.
