Description:Our quiet and airy flat is on a friendly tree-lined street in Walthamstow, East London. It's a ten minute walk from Walthamstow Market -- the longest daily outdoor market in Europe. There's a nearby overground train that takes 15 minutes to go to Liverpool Street Station, and underground stations (Victoria Line and Central Line) are a short bus ride away. The Olympic Park is also a very short bus ride away. The front room is filled with light in the morning London -- it's on the top floor of a small building with only two flats in it -- and it's very comfortably furnished, but not at all cluttered. You can have breakfast on tiled dining table, curl up on the sofa with a book, or chill out after a long day on the cushy chairs. The back bedroom overlooks a garden space and has a big double bed with a feather duvet. There's also a cozy, book-lined study with a pull out sofa bed. The kitchen is small and basic, but pretty charming too, with an old-fashioned ceramic sink. We've put a mosaic-tiled shower into the Victorian bathroom. If you want some place to come back to where you can breath and take a break at the end of the day, this would be a very good place to stay. It's perfect for somone travelling on their own, or for a couple, or for a family travelling with children. You can get a good idea of where the flat is, and how long it will take you to get to the parts of London you want to visit, by going to the Transport for London Journey Planner website. Description:This is small 2 bedroomed apartment, within 30 minutes walk of Stratford and close to the Olympic village and the new Westfield Shopping Centre. You will have use of the entire apartment. Leyton tube is the closest tube - being about 7 minute walk away - which is one stop to Stratford and about 20 minutes to Oxford Circus and the West End. Leyton is Zone 3 on the tube. The kitchen was refitted last year and although there are a few problems with the cupboard doors not hanging correctly it is clean and fully fitted with a microwave, toaster, kettle, cutlery and pots and pans. There is a washing machine if you need to wash anything and a clothes airer is kept in the back bedroom. If you are there for a longer period and will be doing washing I can provide a small tumble dryer. The back bedroom has a fitted wardrobe with plenty of hanging space and shelves to accommodate your clothes and other items. There is a hair dryer and an iron and ironing board in the wardrobe. Also this is where the clean bedding and towels are kept (on the shelves). The bathroom is again small but clean. There is a bath with a hand held shower attachment with pretty good pressure. The front bedroom has a small dresser for your bits as well as a rail to hang your clothes. In the lounge there is double sofa bed and a dining table with 4 chairs. There is also a digital TV and wireless internet connection. The pillows and duvet for the sofa bed are in the cupboard in the lounge. If you are staying for longer periods and want me to arrange cleaning for your stay, please let me know when booking. Keys: I will try my utmost to be at the property to check you in but obviously this is not always possible. Description:I have a lovely apartment in East London in Walthamstow. The apartment is well equipped with an open plan kitchen and living room. There is a flat screen TV in the large living room and wifi throughout the apartment. Int he bedroom there is a comfortable double bed and wardrobe. The apartment also has a garden which is lovely to sit in when the weather is good! There are also 2 bikes available for you to use during your stay. In the local area you will find all the amenities you will need. There are pubs, restaurants, cafes and shops within walking distance. The apartment is ideally situated for visiting London and all its attractions. In the local area you will find Lee Valley Regional Park where you can take walk, go cycling, or even go fishing! Travelling into central London is also quick and easy and there is an overground station and an underground station (on the Victoria line) within walking distance. The house offers stylish accommodation - a modern open-plan living room (with under-floor heating and an atmospheric gas fire) combined with an ultra modern kitchen which includes all facilities (freezer, built-in dish-washer, washing machine, over-sized fridge, dryer, micro-wave, oven). Free WIFI is available throughout the house. A lock-up garage is accessible from street level and could potentially accommodate a car. You can enjoy a glass of wine in a small but perfectly adequate garden after a busy day at the Games and a BBQ is available to complete the experience. A leisure centre with squash courts, sauna and swimming pool is at the end of our road and Epping Forest - with plenty of walking trails - is a short distance away. The local area offers an excellent selection of amenities as the shops, bars and restaurants of Leytonstone are within close proximity (5-10 minutes on foot). The Red Lion, a nice gastro pub with delicious food and real ales, is within easy walking distance (10 min). You can reach Stratford, where the London Olympics 2012 will be held either by Underground from Leytonstone station (15 minutes door to door), bus (15 minutes) or on foot (25 minutes). Central London (St.Paul's cathedral /Tate Modern gallery) can be reached by Underground (Central Line) in 25-30 minutes (door to altar or door to Rothkos). Stratford airport can be reached in 45 minutes by car - (Heathrow and Gatwick are 1 hour) - in non rush hour traffic. Description:The house is still available for the opening ceremonies of the Games! We have a lovely Victorian house in Leytonstone, East London, just an 18-minute bus ride, a 5-minute Tube ride, or a short drive from Stratford, the Olympic Park, and Westfield Stratford City. Getting into central London is a breeze with the Central Line, which will transport you to Liverpool Street in under 15 minutes, Oxford Street in 25, and Notting Hill Gate in 35. So...if you want a lot of elbow room for you and your family or you and your friends during your stay in London, in a quiet location that has quick transport links to anywhere you'd like to go, this would be a great place for you. A summary of the available accommodation follows! Ground floor: The front sitting room is lovely and cozy, with a gas fireplace, sofas, stereo system, and lots of books. The music room has an upright piano, a stereo system, and sufficient floor space for a queen-sized air mattress (which is provided). The kitchen features a double sofabed, a dining table that will seat up to 6 adults or 5 adults and a child (we have a high chair) - pretty much everything you could want or need to prepare meals is available. Garden: There is an 80-foot garden with barbecue grill, dining table, benches, and a line to hang out your laundry if you want! There are garden games in the shed that you are welcome to use, including bocce, quoits, and croquet. There is a small toilet that faces onto the garden. First floor: The first floor features a master bedroom with double bed the library, which has a computer, printer, and lots of books the master bathroom with loo a shower room with loo and a child's room appropriate for a baby, toddler, or small child, with changing table, large cot, and reading chair. There are lots of toys and books suitable for children up to the age of about 4. Loft floor: This floor features a double bed, en-suite bathroom with skylight, comfy chair, reading material and DVDs (with personal DVD player) available, WiFi access, and a stereo system with fantastic speakers! Although it's an ensuite bath, the toilets are on the floor below. Transport and general area: Parking on the street outside is restricted between 10 and 2, but free parking is available starting one street over. The street dead-ends onto Wanstead Flats, part of the Epping Forest system from here, you can cycle or walk for miles in the largest public open space in London. There is a south Indian restauarant a block away Singburi, a great Thai restaurant, is not much further. The fantastic Westfield Stratford City shopping centre is just down the road - it will take you only minutes to get there and to the Olympic Park. If you want to get out of Leytonstone, we're a 5-minute walk from the Central Line. If Stratford is where you want to go, there's also a bus that you can catch just at the end of our road - it will take you 18 minutes from here to there. From Stratford you can get on the Jubilee Line, the DLR, and the overground rail (the new orange line) you can also catch overground rail from Leytonstone High Road station, which is two minutes' walk from our house. Summary: Although we have just the three rooms set up as actual bedrooms, the property will easily accommodate eight people or eight people and one baby/toddler: 2 in the double bed in the loft room, 2 in the double bed in the master bedroom, 2 in the double sofabed, 2 on the queen-sized air mattress (which you can put in the front sitting room or music room, or the library for easy access to toilets) and 1 in the nursery. There are three bath/shower rooms for showering/bathing in, and three toilets when you count the one facing onto the back garden.
