Description:We’re farther from Asheville than city centric visitors may prefer (45 minutes) but our 2 bdrm, 2 bath cottage is steeped in what this unique area is all about - which is more than city streets. As anyone who knows will tell you, the Asheville effect extends for miles in many directions. Our dual-home refuge is great for nature lovers and the forest friendly. On days when you’re not going to Asheville, we’ve got walking paths and picnic baskets, a year-round vegetable garden and directions and advice about other area destinations such as Hendersonville, Flat Rock, Brevard and Lake Lure. And Dupont State Forest, famous for waterfalls, is just 5 miles away. Your 800 sq ft cottage adjoins our main house, And It’s cozy when there’s sleeping for 6, or really roomy for just 1 or 2. The kitchen’s fully equipped and there’s wi-fi and HBO/satellite TV, and a deck with an outdoor gas grill. You’ll have access to a washer/dryer, dry sauna, massage table and bowflex. Month to month, week to week, or 3 night minimum stay. Description:This authentic local cabin was built by craftsmen in the 1930's and features heart of pine floors and walls and cabinetry, a stone fireplace, locust post porch, and local antique furnishings. It accomodates two adults in a queen, two single beds in a childrens' room, and a pull out sofabed. There is no television, no Internet, no interruptions. There are lake views from the porch, and the lake is accessed on an old stone path that meanders through the trees to the private dock, 25 yards away. Boats can be accomodated with a permit.
