We have small herb and vegetable gardens, as well as about 15 free range hens, 4 ducks and a sweet (very talkative) kitty named Tea Cup. ABOUT THE LOCATION Kealakekua Bay provides incredible Snorkeling, Kayaking, Paddle boarding and Surfing. You can swim with Dolphins, Turtles, Fish, Whales, Rays in the Bay. This is the spot to be for ocean lovers and adventurers! The local beaches often offer incredible Kona Coast sunsets! There are 3 beaches within about a mile, another 5 miles away and many more within 15 miles of the property. The farm borders the oldest coffee mill in the US. They are open to the public for tours and sampling. The mill is a great place to grab a morning espresso and treats. Coffee production season is late July Jan and the mill's operations unpredictably start very early in the morning and can go into the evening (but production only lasts a few hours a day.) The noise has never been an issue for guests at this house. Located in historic Napoopoo, the farm is centrally located only 16 miles from the town center of Kailua Kona. Also, there's an awesome local eatery within a 5 minute walk serving up shaved ice, grass fed beef burgers and plate lunches like Kalbi and Teriyaki Beef. The coffee mill is also less than a 10 minute walk and has smoothies, espresso drinks, sandwiches, fig/banana bread pudding, baked goods, ice cream and local fruits. Up the hill (10 15 minute drive) there’s grocery shopping and some excellent restaurants such as Keei Café, Mi’s Italian Bistro, Strawberry Patch, Nasturtium Café and more. Trash and recyclable items must be disposed by the guest prior to vacating premises through disposal chute located on same floor (left of the Exit sign before elevators) . For monthly rentals, security deposit of $200 CAD is required and entire rent for the stay has to be pre paid. As well, all utensils/cleaning products used have to be replenished by the guest. Operating manuals for appliances as well as access for wifi internet will be available at the suite. No smoking, pets, or children allowed. Avoid scratching/staining/marking the floors, walls, counter tops, appliances, or furniture. Cost of any missing and/or damaged items will be applied against the guest's account. All electrical appliance and lighting system must be turned off when not in use. Air conditioning and heating system must be turned off when balcony door or windows are open. Description:HI, I live in a charming one bedroom in the heart of Venice CA on Venice and Lincoln Blvds. The apt itself is large at 650 sq ft with spacious bedroom and full service bathroom. There is a fully stocked gourmet kitchen available for you use if you are a foodie/chef like me. The living area look like an ad out of anthropologie (proud of my taste) and is great for reading or having movie nights. There is full internet and cable TV available to you, as well as a parking space in the garage below. The best part about the apt. is the balcony in which I've cerated a little garden oasis that is perfect to relax and have a cup of coffee or glass of wine. I host frequent dinner parties and love to entertain my friends whenever I'm in town. The apt. about 15 blocks/just or just a few miles from the beach. I'm also very close to Abbott Kinney. This is a very hipster/chic area of Venice with superb shops, wine/jazz bars, flower markets, delicious local coffee jaunts, and the best farm to table gourmet resteraunts in LA. There is also a whole foods a couple miles from apt as well off of Rose and Lincoln Blvd. Its really great area to ride bikes down to famous Venice Boardwalk, eat al fresco at one of the many outdoor cafes, visit the beach and surf, and check out the new skate park. Right next door is also the marina where you can take in a day of sailing or sea kayaking. All in all I really have a home that is a gem among gems or my diamond in the rough in this big city.
