Description:In our beautiful house we are renting 3 rooms with double beds just perfect for the rest and relaxation. Rooms are romantic, nicely furnished and recently renovated. Parking is provided. The price is EUR 40 per night for 2 persons if you are staying 1 or 2 nights and EUR 30 per night/room if you are staying 3 nights or more. You can relax in our gorgeous garden or at some of the few lakes nearby. We are at the GREAT position! Just 13km from Klagenfurt (only 10 mins drive!), 60km to Italy, 75km from Ljubljana, in 1,5 hours you are at the seaside and in 30 mins at the ski run! There is a cycling and walking route just in front of the house. We can also suggest for you some hiking tour, rafting (such as Soca rafting) or adventure park in Tschepasllucht, all in our surrounding. There is a river only 100m from the house where you can fish (we can organize a fishing permit for you). It is located on a country road that offers lovely, peaceful walks past farm houses and woods. I found it convenient to major roads. Probably the most outstanding feature of this charming place is the woman who owns it. She has created a warm and welcome spot for pets and their humans. I brought my new rescue dog Fiona. Pat supplied a crate, offered welcomed advice and some of her homemade dog food when Fiona would not eat. Pat is helpful, generous and never intrusive. Cavalier Cottage is a wonderful place to stay with or without your pets. As a woman who travels alone, I really value privacy, convenience, safety and beautiful countryside. Description:The Tree House, as well as two charming new cottages, is on the grounds of the 35 acre Bio Thermales private rainforest with natural hot springs in the north-central Costa Rican heartland of rural farms and orchards near Aguas Zarcas and San Carlos (Quesada). This is authentic Costa Rica: clean, comfortable and close to nature. Three hours north of San Jose (airport), 30 minutes east of Fortuna and Volcano Arenal. Our hot springs are ancient “deep Earth” sources that bubble up through the rainforest floor, laden with mineral-rich waters that have been in the Earth for at least 10,000 years. Our waters are rich in bicarbonates, calcium and magnesium, low in sulfur, and slightly acidic -- qualities shared by many of the world's best hot springs. Four of our 8 organic form hot springs pools are located in the rainforest, and 4 hot springs pools as well as a large cool spring swimming pool are located in a meadow, surrounded by rainforest (see below for more information). Parents of young children should evaluate whether the height of the Tree House is safe and appropriate for their children.There are railings around the balcony and stairs but a determined child could climb over them and fall or a very small child could crawl through the spaces in the railing. Every child is individual and their parents must use their best judgment. Traditional Costa Rican meals can be delivered from a local caterer for very reasonable prices (Costa Rican food is tasty but not spicy). Otherwise, for those without cars, we can call a taxi or synchronize a food shopping trip when we go to town for errands. Driving from SJO airport: We highly recommend at least a small 4 wheel drive car. The last 3 kilometers are country roads. Three hours of daylight are needed to safely drive here from the SJO airport before sunset at 5:30 pm. The drive through mountainous cloud forests is splendid in daylight, but prone to fog and rain at night, creating hazardous visibility conditions. Finding our countryside location will also be far easier if you arrive the first time before sunset. If your plane lands in the morning or mid-day, you can drive here directly from the airport. Otherwise, it is safer to book a room near the airport on your first night. Last night in Costa Rica: Driving directly to the SJO airport on the same day is possible if you book a flight in the afternoon.
