Description:This is a unique commercial/residential property in the heart of Todo Santos Business district. The property has a one bedroom apt. on ground floor and a loft apt. on second floor each unit has kitchen and bath. Right in front of the units is a common area with a huge palapa. It's very much like an outdoor living room. There is also a bathroom for the common area. In front of that is a parking spot and another building. I used to have a coffee shop in there but now it is empty. The bus from Cabo and La Paz stop right in You really have to see it to appreciate it. It's not Fancy but it's comfortable and clean. Description:Our homes cozy ohana, will be your home while visiting Kailua Kona and it's local attractions. The independent studio/ohana comes with full use of the main house kitchen and cozy nook to enjoy a cup of Kona coffee in the morning from James Bean Co. Coffee Farm - which is included, lanai/deck with BBQ. A sofa bed upstairs and a queen size bed plus a futon downstairs give you the choice of sleeping arrangements. Beach towels are provided so that you can relax upon your arrival. Access to the ohana is from a shared driveway with parking available for up to two cars. We are located a short 10 minutes drive from downtown Kona, the Kona pier (start and end point of the Ironman held in October each year) and the beaches along Alii Drive! The approximate 1000ft elevation offer a comfortable 5-10 deg cooler retreat after a day at the beach. Area Info Kona is known for its year round sunny weather daily temperatures ranging from 81 to 86 degrees. World class beaches and dining. Attractions such as swimming with dolphins, body glove snorkel tours, volcano helicopter tours, submarine and glass bottom boat tours are only a few to mention. This is a marine preserve and you can swim with sea turtles, and almost all the other tropical fish found in Hawaii's waters. Ocean kayaking and snorkeling are favorite activities at this spot. Coffee farms offer tours and samples of famous Kona coffee throughout the rural areas. Kaahaluu Beach Park 15 minutes away. This has got to be one of the best snorkeling places in the world. It is a pretty, but unpretentious setting. One of the things that makes it good, in addition to the variety of fish you will see, is the fact that it is a really safe place to snorkel. It is good for children, older people, or those who can't swim. traditional Hawaiian Luaus are offered at several locations, and well worth the cost. Everyone should visit the hilton waikoloa village for a full day trip. Free transport to galleries, dolphin quest, restaurants and shops. The Natural Energy Laboratory of Hawaii has a number of ongoing experiments and applications of ocean technology, all very interesting. Puuhonau O Honaunau National Historic Park (30 minutes away), or the City of Refuge (highly recommended) gives you the feel for the former way of life in a partially restored 16th century village. You will see thatched huts, canoes, idols, and a temple that has the bones of several Hawaiian chiefs. Set on a peaceful white sand beach. Two Step, nicknamed such because of the land formation underwater, is right in this area, about a hundred yards north of the City of Refuge. It's another fantastic place for either snorkeling or diving. Hapuna Beach is 30 minutes away but probably as close to a perfect beach as you'll find in the state with fine, golden white sand maybe half a mile long and a couple hundred feet wide. It's a fine place for building sand castles and boogie boarding. There's seldom much of an undertow. It has a small snack bar, and showers. Conde Nast Traveler magazine has declared this the best beach in the nation. The beach is about a half an hour's drive north of Kailua-Kona near the 69 mile marker off Highway 19. With abundant marine and wildlife, Kona remains unspoiled and has much diversity to explore. Description:This two bedroom, one bath furnished cedar-frame cabin is nestled in a grove of old growth fir and cedar along the banks of Little Smith Creek. It is historic, rustic full of character yet comfortable and clean. It is the perfect balance of remote but civilized. There are many amenities, but expect to do without, too. Inside there is a small cowboy kitchen with cooking/baking utensils, dining ware, and dining table. Each bedroom has one full-size bed. There are two electric heaters and a wood stove (soon to be updated to propane). Maid service is extra. Don't be fooled by the low price. This is a nice, clean, relaxing place. Safety equipment is important and includes a smoke detector, carbon monoxide detector, emergency light and first aid kit. The cabin has books, movies and games for recreation. Nope, there’s no television or news. Your cell phone won’t bother you here, I promise. No internet either, but there are emergency messaging services usually available. Outdoors, there is a campfire or barbeque with a picnic table next to the creek. Enjoy a game of horseshoes. The Clearwater National Forest is adjacent with hiking, wildlife viewing, and hunting. A cool breeze blows down the creek almost every afternoon. The 1.1-million-acre Selway-Bitterroot Wilderness is close. The historic Lewis and Clark Trail is nearby. The local highway is a very nice drive or motorcycle ride. Fishing and rafting (class 1-5) are available on the Lochsa or Middlefork of the Clearwater Rivers. The Selway River (7 miles) and Selway Falls are also close by. It is not unusual to have whitetail deer, quail, rabbits, or turkeys in the yard. Elk, Moose, Bear, Wolves, Cougar, are all close-by. The rivers hold different species of Trout, Steelhead, Chinook salmon, and Whitefish. You might see Beaver or Otters. Bald Eagles, Osprey , and Canadian Geese fly over and nest here, too. see The cabin is in Game Unit 12, but unit 10A and 16 are accessible. Steelhead fishing is closed May and June. Spring/Summer Chinook Salmon seasons are to be announced, usually in April, May, & June. The closest public transportation is between Lewiston and Kooskia. US 12 is the main highway.
