Description:Fantastic location in the heart of charming Concord Center home of the revolution, Thoreau, Emerson, Walden Pond and 30/45 minutes from downtown Boston & 30 minutes from Cambridge. There is a commuter train less than 1 mile from our house that is easily walkable so having a car though nice is optional. We have 2 bedrooms (Each room is $85/night) available each with a queen bed so we can accommodate up to 4 guests. There is a private bath shared by the 2 rooms. AC or fans provided when needed. Fridge use and light kitchen use. I do not rent out the rooms to separate groups at the same time since there is one bathroom for the 2 rooms. Our street is tree lined and quiet even though steps away from restaurants, music, shopping, cafes, parks, theater, conservation land & a terrific yoga studio. PLEASE NOTE: Our place does NOT have parking. There are paid parking lots in the neighbourhood. On weekends, you can park on a street nearby. If you are driving here, we can suggest a paid parking lot if you need. There are amazing restaurants, microbreweries (we are the 1 beer city in the country), hiking, river sports, music scene, theater, eclectic shops, and so much more that you will absolutely fall in love with our beautiful town. When you stay in my home, you will truly experience the serenity of this country like setting and the convenience of being just 10 minutes from downtown. You will have your own bedroom with a queen bed with your own bathroom in my 3 bedroom 2 bath house. I have an open room to use for yoga, dance, tai chi, etc. Hardwood floors are throughout the home. There are 5 acres of woods in the back. There is no TV, but if you bring your laptop you can surf the web and watch movies. I'll provide some movies for you to choose from. A make it yourself breakfast is included in the price which consists of my farm fresh eggs, homemade muffins, homemade jam, fresh fruit, OJ, coffee and tea. Description:A great place to stay in downtown Toronto not a fancy condo, but a unique one of a kind character home built in the late 1800's. The private entrance from the front porch up leads up to our charming, spacious shared apartment, which occupies the top 2 floors of this recently renovated detached house. Your private quarters consists of huge 3rd floor open concept loft room that acts as a meditation/healing/tea/acro yoga/creative fun space when not occupied by guests. There is no television, but hula hoops, juggling balls, yoga mats and a mini trampoline are available, should you feel inclined to play. Up a winding staircase, this serene sanctuary like space has lots of room to move around in and features slanted ceilings, a gorgeous custom wood meditation nook (that can double as a bed), and all the fixings for a great herbal tea as well as winding plant that encircles the large window overlooking beautiful cherry blossom (and other) trees outside. The other 3rd floor window, out of which the portable A/C is vented in the summertime, has a fabulous CN Tower view. Available sleeping surfaces a double mattress and an air mattress, both of which can be set up on the floor in the middle of the room. For those who prefer a harder sleep surface, there's the custom wood meditation nook, which has on it a thin pillow top usually used as a meditation surface. Finally, there a softer single bed available, in addition to plenty of floor space. The loft room contains its own private 2 piece washroom (toilet & bath only, no sink), and a shared full bathroom (shower/bath, toilet, and sink) is available on the lower (second) floor where the shared vegetarian kitchen and den (which can also be rented out to guests as a private bedroom please inquire about this possibility) are located. The location: In heart of downtown west on a quiet residential street in Little Portugal, the house is just a block west of Bathurst Street and right between and walking distance to the most visit worthy neighbourhoods in Toront Kensington Market, Chinatown, Queen West and College Street/Little Italy, as well as skipping distance from the lovely Alexandra Park (which boasts a community centre with great outdoor and indoor swimming pools). TTC transit is easily accessible, with 3 major streetcar lines, which lead to both subway lines, a 2 minute walk away. We are queer/friendly and open to hosting considerate guests of any nationality, sexual orientation, etc., who are willing to respect our home and house rules (including not smoking tobacco indoors, eating/preparing meat at home, or making excessive noise).
