Due to the location in the heart of the gallery district and the open layout of the living room, this apartment often rents to visiting artists to display their works, and by arrangement, it is always decorated with original art. There is another full bathroom upstairs, and a sepaeate dressing room with shelves and closets plus an alcove with a twin bed. We are on Cristo St., between San Francisco & Fortaleza: 1 block from the Governor’s Mansion so there are 2 policemen on the corner 24/7. The building is surrounded by historic monuments. We are 1 block north of La Fortaleza, Pigeon Park, and the Cristo Chapel, which you can see from your balcony, as well as the bay beyond. One block west is the Plaza de Armas, where you'll find cafes, grocer and drug stores, a stop for the free trolleys that go all around San Juan, and taxi stand. You are 2 blocks south of the El Convento Hotel and the Puerta de San Juan, the ancient gateway to the city. Here you enter the middle of the Pase a beautiful mile long walkway along the bay that stretches from the ancient cemetery to the cruise ship docks. This is a great morning jog or walk. Description:Pura Vida is an inviting home located in Esperanza, the quaint fishing town of Vieques as well as the most popular tourist area. The three bedroom, one bath house is located in a great neighborhood, only 1 block, or less than a 5 minute walk, to the Malecon. There is a lack of rental cars on Vieques, and if not reserved ahead of time, they may all be sold out. Avoid being left without a car to explore Vieques. Our SUV has three rows of seats holding 7 passengers. If you are a larger group staying at Pura Vida, a 7 passenger SUV negates the need to rent two vehicles, you can everyone fit in one SUV, thus saving you money on both rental fees, gas etc. We are baby and child friendly! We had our first child in November of 2007, our second in January 2010. We enjoy bringing them to the island and they love Media Lunas gentle waves and shallow beach. At Pura Vida we have a Pack N Play crib, child booster seat for feeding (works well instead of high chair), and two convertible car seats for our Jeep, capable of forward and rear facing. We also have a bunch of beach toys, child snorkel gear, books, games and puzzles to keep kids entertained. That is if they aren't worn out after a long day at the beach. We are happy to provide these child amenities to our guests free of charge, pending no abnormal damage to them. We also have a TV, DVD player, vast library of adult and children DVDs and a Playstation 2 with games for you to enjoy. Although we offer a SUV, our convenient location allows one to easily enjoy much of what Vieques has to offer without driving. Description:This luxury private 2600 sq foot home on the quiet Eastern end of Nassau is the perfect escape for your family. Open the back gate and step down in to the ocean for a swim or row our dinghy out a few hundred feet to snorkel the many surrounding reefs. It is a short 10 minute drive to downtown Nassau, local restaurants and Paradise Island and Atlantis.
