BUT, it is being rented dirt cheap. No furniture is included, but wooden Mennonite furniture is cheap to buy. Power and water are on the property, as well as phone service. Not sure about internet or cable tv. Tomatoes are US$0.25 a pound, a full meal about US$2. There is no other place on planet Earth where you will live so good in fantastic surroundings. Description:The house has only one bedroom, but a large kitchen / living area, a hallway and bath. It has a nice view of Turrialba volcano (about 35 km away) and it is surrounded by spectacular tropical vegetation. It's in the altitude of 600m, so it is never too hot. There are several very small villages in the area, with friendly 'natives' - not many of them speaking English though (needless to say, they speak Spanish). Reaching the nearest small city (Turrialba) takes about 1 hour by bus, 25 minutes by car. Neighbors usually allow the guests using their pools. Note that Costa Rica is an exceptionally well-run, democratic and peaceful country (they don't even have an army - a noble example for the rest of the world!).... more info >>
