They run from the terminus of the road back to Adlergestell Imkerweg, from there it is about 5 minutes to walk up to your cottage. By car you reach it the best by motorway, take exit Adlershof, from there take the Ernst Ruska Ufer about 2.5 km to Adlergestell (railway bridge) and then keep right. After 1 km keep right direction to Schmöckwitz. You drive straight to the S Grunau station over, drive through the wooded area about 8 miles, and then you have finally reachthe district Schmöckwitz. At the traffic lights go straight ahead, the next street on the left of Imkerweg. Equipment The living room is approx 20 sqm, furnished and equipped with a double leather sofa bed for 2 persons. From the living room on the ground floor have direct access and views of the Seddinsee. The living room on the first floor is equipped with a computer, a television and a sofa bed is also equipped for 2 persons. Wireless internet is available throughout the building at a daily rate. The village has a stunning cathedral that was built in the 15th century on the instruction of Pope Sisto V who lived in the village. The ceiling of the cathedral is a replica of parts of the sistine chapel in Rome (without the queues)! With a population of about 2500 the village is well serviced with a number of shops, restaurants, local bars, a post office, newsagent, grocer, butcher, bank etc. Not much English is spoken in this region but you'll find this is half the fun of being here and lots of arm waving and pointing with the odd word goes a very long way. Many of our guests enjoy the atmosphere that the village offers and this is why they return time and time again and have become friends. The village is 25 minutes from the provincial capital of Ascoli Piceno which is famous for its architecture, old travertine marble squares, churches, museums and is thought to be older than Rome. It is also packed with boutiques and cafe bars so is perfect for people watching. The Frasassi Caves, thought to be the largest limestone caves in Europe are well worth a visit - they have frequent tours during the summer months. Rome can easily be visited on a day trip and there are air conditioned buses from Grottamare to the centre of Rome daily. You will need a car when you are here as public transport is limited to the coast. Our nearest airports are Ancona and Pescara both of which are just over an hour away by car and are serviced by Ryanair.
