Description:Located in the heart of New Orleans in the desirable and especially safe City Park Triangle neighborhood and decorated by one of the city's most creative interior designers, this house is full of surprises and features 1.5 baths (shared) and 2 available bedrooms, one with a king bed and the other a queen. About the place: The main entrance to City Park is only 2 blocks away, the Canal Street Car is 5 blocks away, the fairgrounds a 10 minute walk and the french quarter is less than 10 minutes away by car. The house has wireless internet, an extraordinary, knowledgeable host, and a charming porch where you can enjoy breakfast/ watching neighbors walk their dogs in a neighborhood which probably has the nation's highest per capita concentration of pet owners! The house is very quiet and the owner is trying to get into medical school, so he can definitely use the extra income. Family owned and operated so all are welcome! We are located in Cottage Square which is a very quaint area within walking distance of restaurants, bars, and attractions.We are three miles from the Biloxi Casinos which always have events and concerts going on. We are about a mile from the beach and the Gulf of Mexico. We offer a Bed and Breakfast option for an additional $10/night which provides you with continental breakfast for the duration of your stay. We usually have things such as breads, pastries, fruit, cereals, milk,etc. We also offer romance package options with Wine/Champagne, Roses and sweets. We will do whatever we can to accomodate any request if given enough notice. Unfortunately, the development does not allow for pets. But, if you have to travel with your pet, there is an AMAZING boarding facility located on a farm near by. Description:A 3-bedroom house in Hoover available for sublet for July/August. 3 bedrooms - 2 bedrooms have queen beds, 1 office, 2 bathrooms, full kitchen, living room, dining area, laundry room, large yard. Near I-65, Highway 31 and I-459. Can leave cat in house if you wish the company. She is a very sweet cat that has her own door in the laundry room and is very low maintenance, though she does like attention. I can add 2 extra days on either end for free. Wireless cable internet, Dish tv/dvr, Blu-ray DVD players with Netflix access in living room and master bedroom. All rooms have televisions with Dish access. Fully stocked kitchen and pantry - I have found that it works very well to have a policy of use what is there, replace what you finish. It's a very quiet, nice, older Hoover neighborhood very close to a small park that has a lake with ducks and a playground. It's a hilly neighborhood which makes it great for walking. The area is very close to all the major highways as well as the Galleria Mall, the Hoover Library and great shopping and restaurants. There is no garage or carport. The house is set above the street and there is a parking space below at street level. This is my home and has lots of nice antiques and delicate things, so I am very much looking for someone who will take very good care of my house. I will arrange to have the yard taken care of while I am gone. Just in case, the format of all the various things isn't clear, I'm attempting to rent out my house for the whole 2 month period of July and August, 2012. Being that I will be leaving a couple of days prior to July 1 and returning a couple of days after, I am willing to add those days into the package price without charge. The 2-month price is includes the electric, water, gas, internet, satellite. tv and yard care. No matter how I play with the various scheduling/pricing options, I can't seem to make it reflect that it is only available for a straight 2-month sublet. With fees, I think the renter pays just over $1,000 a month, though I can negotiate that price a little if you are interested.... more info >>

Description:When I travel, my entire house is available, but sometimes when home I can offer one room as well. For the entire house for 1 week, it is $575. It can easily sleep 7-8 people. It's decorated very shabby chic in style...hardwood floors throughout, gourmet kitchen, 3 fireplaces, tin roof, white wood floors in back part of the house, beautiful New Orleans- style cottage right in downtown Mobile.....British park down the street, porch with rocking chairs, tree lined streets in this Historic district filled with older homes and Southern charm.. walk to everything!! And always near the festivals...walk to Bay Fest, Art-Walk, and Mardi-Gras is right here, walk half a block!! Centrally located...Pensacola is 45 mins, Dauphin Island 20 mins, New orleans, 2 hrs, and Gulfport/Bilouxi is 45 mins. Room for the night is $65 if I host For entire house is only $93. Description:Located in Northwest Carrollton, this apartment is 10 minutes from the French Quarter by car, 8 blocks from the streetcar line, 4 blocks from the bus, and 4 blocks from the world famous Rock 'n Bowl bar/bowling lane/and New Orleans music venue. Close to the uptown universities (Loyola and Tulane) and the restaurants and shops of the Riverbend. Located in the lower half of owner-occupied residence. It has a shower in the bathroom, free wireless, kitchen, living room, bedroom with double bed. On-street parking. Quiet neighborhood. Very clean. Secure with wrought iron fence and locked gate. Regular rates are $60/night with minimum 2 night stay. One-night stay is $100 for one person/$110 for two persons. $100 for special events, Mardi Gras, and Jazz Fest. June and July are usually available by the month only, unless special arrangements are made. Rotating street view photos were taken during post-Katrina reconstruction. FEMA trailer and construction materials are now gone, landscaping is completed, and the street is back to pre-Katrina shape. Here's some more information from the owner and a recent renter: Unless you have a car, you’ll probably need to take public transport to get to the more interesting neighborhoods further east (French Quarter, Treme, the Bywater, Faubourg Marigny). Nearby, however, is the world famous Rock ‘n’ Bowl Lanes, a mere four blocks away, with incredible local music every night of the week. The Olde College Inn Restaurant is next door to the Lanes, and Mikimoto Restaurant (Japanese) is two blocks further up Carrollton Avenue. Another neighborhood, Riverbend, with many restaurants and one of the best music venues in town (the Maple Leaf Bar on Oak Streeet) is about 25 minutes away by foot, down Carrollton Avenue toward the Mississippi River. The buses run every 30 or 60 minutes so you have to plan to get out in time. The buses take about 25 minutes to get downtown. The streetcar ride to downtown is scenic but 35 minutes—and takes longer at this moment because the final stretch is currently being repaired. The buses also don’t run late—though the streetcar does. Description:3 Story raised Cabin in the woods with Lofted Bedroom on second floor and cot on 3rd floor. Floating kitchen and dining table on first floor with soaring windows facing Northwest. The cabin is secluded and surrounded by trees, with a little frog pond in front. Provides privacy, while still just 7 miles from the nearest 24 hr Walgreens and grocery stores and coffeeshops. This is my getaway cabin and art studio, just one hour north of New Orleans, near Abita Springs and Covington, LA. 1 bedroom 1 1/2 bath Bedroom has Queen Keetsa Eco Bed (amazingly comfortable and firm), with high-quality sheets and down comforter with linen duvet. 3rd floor has a small camping style cot with Anthropologie Bedding. There is a balcony on the third floor which provides a nice view of the woods. There is also a deck by the front door with a small table and two chairs. This is a nice place for morning coffee with the birds and gentle sun rising from behind the house. I provide clean towels and sheets and professional cleaning between guests. Next to the house is a patio with a fire pit and picnic table, and some firewood beneath the house for impromptu smores and campfire stories. Lately I have seen a great number of fireflies in the woods surrounding the patio. When the moon is full, it illuminates the whole area. You can expect to see a sky full of stars on a clear night. This house is perfect for the weekend getaway from the city, or anyone traveling to Covington, Abita or Mandeville, looking for secluded and extremely charming and unique accommodations. There is an easel and North light which makes it perfect for any artist. It provides peace and quiet, perfect for any writer or overworked professional. The whole environment is very charming and unique which makes it wildly magical for a romantic weekend. Just a few miles from the Abita Brew Pub, the Tammany Trace, Abita Mystery House and downtown old Covington. Short drive to John Besh's La Provence restaurant in Lacombe. House is set back off the highway. Easy parking under the house or in the gravel driveway. No bathtub (shower only), and the bedroom loft and 3rd floor are accessed by spiral staircase. The 3rd floor has an opening to view down to 1st floor and access the pulley system, but this opening may require caution with children accessing the 3rd floor. While you can expect peace and privacy, it is not entirely quiet because you can hear the occasional truck traveling down the highway. (I just point this out in case you are looking for something more rural) Cabin has a tin roof which is wonderful during a thunderstorm. Water is provided by well on the property, accessing the Abita Springs Aquifer. It is clear, clean and delicious. There is a hot water heater so you can expect to take hot showers with no problem. I am never far away in case of any problems. Privacy is important to me and I will be extremely cautious when approving guests for stay at my Treehouse. There is a number of places to eat within walking distance and not far to the supermarket. You are less than a 5 minute drive to the mall or one of our oldest golf courses and less than 1 hour away from New Orleans. The condo is well kept with tasteful decorations and is on the 2nd floor of the two story building with stairs leading right up to the unit door. There is a partial view of the Gulf of Mexico outside the kitchen window and you can relax on a chair sitting outside the front of the unit. This is a non-smoking, no pets condo which should be a great fit for people with allergies to animals or smoke. The unit comes with full cable TV, DVD player and high speed wifi internet. All utilities are included in the price of the unit. There is a celing fan located in the unit along with many other upgrades included.
