We grow 8 different kinds of mangoes as well as assortment of other tropical fruits like Apple Bananas, pineapple, coconut, longan, limes, oranges, papaya, lilikoi and suriname cherries. We have small herb and vegetable gardens, as well as about 15 free range hens, 4 ducks and a sweet (very talkative) kitty named Tea Cup. ABOUT THE LOCATION Kealakekua Bay provides incredible Snorkeling, Kayaking, Paddle boarding and Surfing. You can swim with Dolphins, Turtles, Fish, Whales, Rays in the Bay. This is the spot to be for ocean lovers and adventurers! The local beaches often offer incredible Kona Coast sunsets! There are 3 beaches within about a mile, another 5 miles away and many more within 15 miles of the property. The farm borders the oldest coffee mill in the US. They are open to the public for tours and sampling. The mill is a great place to grab a morning espresso and treats. Coffee production season is late July Jan and the mill's operations unpredictably start very early in the morning and can go into the evening (but production only lasts a few hours a day.) The noise has never been an issue for guests at this house. Located in historic Napoopoo, the farm is centrally located only 16 miles from the town center of Kailua Kona. Also, there's an awesome local eatery within a 5 minute walk serving up shaved ice, grass fed beef burgers and plate lunches like Kalbi and Teriyaki Beef. The coffee mill is also less than a 10 minute walk and has smoothies, espresso drinks, sandwiches, fig/banana bread pudding, baked goods, ice cream and local fruits. Up the hill (10 15 minute drive) there’s grocery shopping and some excellent restaurants such as Keei Café, Mi’s Italian Bistro, Strawberry Patch, Nasturtium Café and more. Dining, literally, does not get any better than at home on your lanai... Sure, it is great to go out every now and then but this whole complex is so comfortable that barbequing, ocean front day dreaming into the ocean or watching the sun set while cooking, and just relaxing in your comfy shorts with ‘ocean ridden hair and not caring haha’ is sometimes the key to a long day... A nice relaxing dinner at HOME!!! WHALES WHALES WHALES!!! In the winter months, WATCH THE WHALES FROM the beach, as the adult whales teach their newborn babies how to jump and play in the AU AU Channel that is DIRECTLY (and CLOSE) in front of your condo. No need to even go on a boat to watch for whales! They are BREATHTAKING!!! We do, however, have so many happy and satisfied guests that return to our (theirs too our home is your home!) condo every year that our whale season fills up fast. So book early for whale season!!! GOLF GOLF GOLF... Golfing at one of the championship golf courses at Kapalua and/or Kaanapali, which are all just minutes away, is so different than golfing on the mainland.
