With a little more energy you can get to Chinatown in 20 minutes and to Wall Street in half an hour. AMENITIES: This apartment sleeps up to 5 people, it is fully furnished featuring hardwood floors, washer/dryer, an equipped kitchenette (microwave, induction burner, refrigerator, toaster, coffee maker, cookware, dinnerware), a full bathroom, one or two beds, dining and coffee tables, a sleeper futon, air conditioning/heater, Radio/CD Player, TV, telephone and WiFi. We recently switched to a safe flameless induction burner that can heat a pot of water in 30 seconds !!! Due to the building’s construction specifications we are unable to offer handicap access. Linens, towels and hair dryer are supplied. Pets are not accepted. SMOKING ALLOWED in the garden only. New regulations effective May 1, 2011 in New York City do not allow for rentals shorter than 30 days for all buildings with 3 units or more. However, we will be filing and changing our status to become a 2 family unit, with the owner living in one unit and owning the entire building. Therefore, you can be assured that the rentals do not fall under the jurisdiction of the new regulation as well as long-term renters living within the building. Our street is beautiful and calm with low rise brownstone buildings all along and there is an abundance of wonderful restaurants and shops all around. The apt itself is a duplex. I use the lower floor as an office. My assistant will be there Mon to Fri. She will able to help you for check in, check out, cell phone, SIM card and car service to airport. If you need cleaning, she can arrange that as well for $40 per day (laundry is additional $30 per load). For people who stays more than 5 days, every 5 days we will clean your place. ADDITIONAL FEES: There will be $100 cleaning fee due upon arrival. After first 2 people, additional person will be charged $10/night due upon arrival. It's very clean and has things no hotel can offer. This listing is for use of a private 2 BR apartment with 2 private bedrooms, full bathroom, kitchenette and an outdoor private patio! This awesome apartment building has a killer roof deck with panoramic views of all of NYC and bridges. The building is manned with a 24 HOUR Doorman / Security, gym and laundry room as well. The patio outside either bedroom has a table and chairs which is lovely for coffee in the morning, as the sun is all over it. If you're the physical type, there is a gym (free) for your use in the building as well as a laundry room (coin operated), vending machines and ATM as well. The kitchenette has the bare, basic necessities fridge, microwave, hot plate with a couple of top of the line stainless pots/pans, a coffee maker. You are able to make small dishes (pasta, veggies, etc.) but there is no oven. Within 1 block in any direction, there are plenty of restaurants, cafes, bars and 24 hr deli that makes killer sandwiches 24 hours. Or anything can be delivered! The Building and Neighborhood: This building complex has 125 units, mostly 2 bedrooms, but this is a special 3 BR Duplex with outdoor patios! Overall, this is a young building: the average age in the entire complex is between 27-35. But these bedrooms are extremely quiet as it's in the corner of a building ground level. This neighborhood is very lively after the sun goes down. The East Village has been heavily built up over the last 5 years and located in one of the most desirable neighborhoods in Manhattan. The East Village offers a variety of restaurants, cafes, bars and a beautiful park. You can walk to Indian, Russian, Italian, Mexican, Japanese, Chinese, Thai, Vegetarian and American restaurants within a 5 block radius. If you're too tired and beat up from touring NYC and don't feel like going anywhere, you can simply order in and have anything delivered to the room (usually until 11 pm or midnight). And these little privately owned restaurants are MUCH better than midtown/tourist-trap food chain places. There are at least three 24/hr places to eat within 1 block. This building is one of only a few in the neighborhood that has a doorman and an elevator. About 95% of the buildings in the area are walk-ups. Your home away from home will provide the NYC experience not soon forgotten: the spectacular panoramic view of NYC on the roof deck (elevator and outdoor furniture up there), 2 private patios in the unit, a huge courtyard in middle of complex, about 50 restaurant/bars/cafe's within a 3 block radius and probably 500 within a 10 block radius. Enjoy a beautiful park (Tompkins Square) at the end of the block and an East River waterfront park about 4 streets/blocks to the east. For additional fees, I can set you up with various personal tour guides (depending on what you wish to see), as well as recommend you to the cool, not-in-the-guide-books places for nightlife or dinner. Description:It's a very spacious 1BR apartment in a brownstone on a quiet, treelined street. The rooms are large, have high ceilings, and antique hardwood floors. The living room has plenty of room for hangingn out and getting cozy, as well as a dinign table. Next to the kitchen is a room we use as an office, with a large desk. We also have a queen size blow up mattress which fits in this room, for any part-time visitors but the couch is also very comfy :) There is a deck out back overlooking the yard (which is he neighbors), with a Weber grill. This spot is shaded by the tall trees behind the house in the summer time! There is A/C in the bedroom, wifi, and a roku device to wirelessly hook up your netflix account etc. to the TV! Wifi & all utitilies are included. The laundromat is a 3 minute walk away (you can drop off there too) and you're welcome to use our caddy & re-chargeable laundry cards! 5 minutes to the C train, 3 minutes to the G train (both stops called Clinton-Washington) which get you to Manhattan or Williamsburg respectively in 15 minutes. Several supermarkets are very close, but even better, there is an excellent Bakery / Grocery even closer, and they make incredible baguettes and croissants (even lauded by French friends!) they have great cheeses and much more, it's called Choice Greene. A large selection of tasty and charming restaurants is less than a 10 minute walk away on DeKalb Ave in Fort Greene, and a few more blocks get you to Fort Greene Park. Prospect Park, and the adjacent Brooklyn Botanical Garden and Brooklyn Museum are a 30 minute walk away. Ideally we are looking for someone to stay for the whole duration from July-Sept, but of course we are flexible. We ask that you leave the apartment in the same condition you found it it.
