Croton Pond is known for great fishing for Steel head, Salmon, Bass, Trout, Walleye. If you enjoy golf there are 3 courses in the Newago area. There are walking trails, a public skate park and a farmers market all nearby. It is not too far from Michigan Adventure amusement park. There are a couple of places nearby to rent kayaks, canoes and inner tubes for rafting. It is less than a quarter mile to downtown Newaygo where there 3 restaurants, a bank with an ATM, a gas station and a grocery store available. It is located 35 minutes from downtown Grand Rapids. You could spend your whole vacation without ever starting your car. Great skiing, boating, fishing and canoeing area!
