Description:Smoke free, pet free, 2 bedroom, 2 bath condo with a sofa bed. Cork floors and very little upholstery make this a great place for those concerned with allergies. We are on the third floor but the entrance from the parking lot is on the second floor of the building, so there are only 14 steps to climb. There are real beds ready for 4, a sofa bed that sleeps 2 more, and we can add mattresses to sleep another 3 people. **For Derby weekend the cancellation policy will be the Super Strict Policy** We have a working farm 40 miles away where we spend our weekends, so you can stay in the condo by yourself and still have us available nearby if you need anything. If you'd like we'll leave a pot of home made chili on the stove so you can have a meal ready at your arrival (made with the free-range, antibiotic-steroid-hormone-free pork we raise 40 miles away). We will also provide Costa Rican coffee (from our own, personally imported stash), tea, milk, soy milk, fruit, whole wheat bread, PB, honey and jellies for your breakfast. Pick up from airport and rides to events (including Derby) for up to 4 people can be arranged for an extra fee. The city bus (TARC) also goes by us, line #15. 20 minutes from Churchill Downs, 10 minutes from the KFC YUM center, 4th Street Live and all the activities found in downtown Louisville. Walking distance from the Veterans' Hospital, Mockingbird Valley Indoor Soccer Club, Louisville Water Tower and the Ohio River. Nearby attractions: Mellwood Arts Center, MOM's Music, Water Tower Museum, Thomas Edison House, Locust Grove Historic Home, Zachary Taylor National Cemetery, Carrie Gaulbert Cox Park and boat ramp, King Fish Restaurant (river front), and all the stores and restaurants of Frankfort Road. Commerce within one mile: Kroger (grocery), CVS Pharmacy, PNC Bank, dry cleaners, restaurants (fast food and casual dining), liquor stores, coffee shops and more. Fully equipped kitchen (dishes/silverware/glasses, cookware, baking pans, utensils, spices/condiments/oil, etc), bedrooms and bathrooms (linens, alarm clocks, towels, soap, toothpaste, TP and baby wipes). WiFi. 2 off-street parking spaces. Coin operated washer and dryer available down the hallway. AC/Furnace, hot and cold water, stove, oven, dishwasher, small microwave, fridge with ice and water dispenser, freezer, George Forman grill and panini press, blender, hand mixer and small food processor, French Press and cordless hot water kettle. Ironing board and iron. $100/2 guests, check calendar for special event weekends. There is a $200 security deposit and a $100 cancellation fee (if less than a week). Once the water level on the river is safe, we will dock our Catalina 22' sailboat at the Juniper Beach docks 5 miles away. Contact us for a rental that includes access to sailing as well.
