Snuggled in the Appalachian Mountains Berea is 45 minutes south of Lexington, Ky, home of the 2010 World Equestrian Games. Weavers Rest Cottage is one of the original buildings of Churchill Weavers, one of the cornerstones of Appalachian crafts admired worldwide. After shutting it's doors in 2006, this quaint building was made into a charming dwelling for visitors to rest while enjoying the beauty that is Berea. Only a few minutes walk from downtown, Weavers Rest offers a fully furnished kitchen, claw tub bath room, queen sized bedroom, and living room. Description:This place is perfect for guests who want to be as close as possible to downtown attractions like 4th Street Live, the YUM Center, Kentucky International Convention Center, Actors Theater, the Palace and Brown theaters, The Louisville Slugger Museum and Slugger Field, the Louisville Science Museum, and Kentucky Center for the Arts. We are a short walk or a quick ride on the (free) trolley from all of the above, and you won't find a closer location on airbnb. This space is also ideal for people who are traveling through Louisville briefly, as it is just 5-6 blocks from ramps to both I-64 and I-65. It features a comfortable queen-sized bed, an upstairs kitchen with all that you'll need to cook and serve a delicious meal, free cold breakfast and coffee with your stay, and amazing views of downtown and surrounding parts of the city on the private terrace, on which you might enjoy a book or a cocktail with your traveling companions. Please ask about options for sleeping up to two additional guests. Your hosts live on the same floor, but several doors down the hall. You will have ample privacy during your stay, but access to assistance whenever you need it. We can help provide rides to and from the airport, high-speed wifi internet, and all of the concierge services (and then some) that you would expect from a luxury hotel, all for no additional charge. Description:Third floor apartment in the heart of the Highlands neighborhood. One bedroom, living room, kitchen and bath, Enjoy an airy space with skylights and a private deck in the trees. Close to coffee shops, restaurants and pubs, Cherokee Park and downtown Louisville. This home was built in the 1880s for a steamboat captain on the Ohio River. Floors in the separate apartment are made of heart of pine. Exposed brick chimneys, air conditioning, full-size refrigerator and microwave. Guests must be able to navigate multiple flights of stairs to reach third floor. Some of these stairs are a bit steep, but once you reach the top you are truly in the trees. The Highlands is a great place to visit for a day or a week. It is full of coffeeshops, art galleries, locally owned restaurants and bars.
