The bay is great for children as the water is warm in the summer and it is shallow for a ways out. The beach is the best between Bay City and Tawas -- sugary sand -- and is wonderful for beach fires. The front facing the bay has room enough for a dozen or more people and is wonderful on a summer night. There is putt-putt golf, a driving range, golf course, and several mom and pop ice cream shops and restaurants within easy biking distance.
