This all adds up to an amazing place for you to enjoy the great eat in kitchen, wonderful gas burning fireplace for those cold chilly evenings, a deck to enjoy your morning coffee or a glass of wine to end the evening and spacious rooms top it all off. There are huge beautiful windows in case you want to lounge in a plush leather chair while looking out to the green courtyard or better yet, breathe the fresh air and feel the sun on your face on the front deck. Sleep peacefully we are close enough to the EL for convenience but far enough that it is a distant if unnoticeable sound. Rest soundly in a comy raised twin air mattress with added pillow top padding in a shared room for the single traveler or if traveling with a friend, we can make it two! Our spacious apartment will easily accommodate another couple in a Queen Size air mattress or two travelers since it can also be broken down as two twin air mattresses. We of course welcome and can accomodate the single traveler too. One thing we have learned about living in Chicago, is the weather can go to extremes so Central Heat and Air are MUST HAVES and we have it:) My fiance and I love this city and would like to share the amazing things we have found. We enjoy hosting out of town guests and ensuring they have a great experience. We realize you are either on vacation or here for business and we want you to feel right at home. Whatever we can do to make this a memorable trip, please let us know. Other features include weekly trash service, open parking, and laundry room. nYou are close to everything at the Lake by staying in the condo. You are two miles from Old Kinderhook Golf Course. Just down the road from many of the Lake's most popular state park - Ha Ha Tonka State Park and the Casa Del Loco Winery. You are about 20 minutes from the Premium Outlet Mall and Big Surf Water Park and have an easy drive to the Bagnell Dam area. nProperties are furnished for normal housekeeping with dishes, cookware, flatware, glasses, grills, and basic appliances. Description:The cottage is nestled at the base of one of the tallest mountains in the area called Old Maids Nipple. The view up the mountain is breathtaking from back of the house. Fire pit and grill area complete with new 10x12 screen house and lawn furniture. Very private and cozy, sunset over the side of mountain beautiful for fire in the pit and marshmallows (firewood and smores provided . Nice for families or groups that want to save money, stay and play together. n nThrough an agreement with neighboring Boyne Rapids Adventure Putt-Putt, Batting Cages, and 18 Hole 3 par. Unlimited fun is included complimentary free for our guests and it is right across the road! n nI am a spa member at the mountain and can arrange services and entertainment at water park and zipline with my discount. Also guests are allowed use of their indoor outdoor heated pool, whirlpool, and workout equipment. n nI have a small fleet of bikes & kayaks to rent for very cheaply. I have the life vests, beach toys, snorkel stuff, lawn furniture and beach towels to go along. Just purchased 8 new Body Glove river tubes with mesh bottoms, back support, and tie downs for rafting/kayaking trips! n n I will plan, port, and guide you on any of our awesome waterways here for your own private group float. There are several to chose from and kayaking is one of my passions. I have a couple of car top carriers if you just want to go down to the lake on your own. I also have a small assortment of fishing poles...don 't ask me though as I know nothing about fishing...there is a dam walking distant where I often see many gathered. n n The cottage is newly decorated with tons of amenities: n n Kitchen theme, chickens: n large french door refrigerator, cook top, microwave, convection oven,outdoor gas or charcoal smoker and grill, toaster, George Foreman, crock pot, blender, Pots and pans, and plates and glasses. There are also spices, olive oil, a welcome fruit bowl, coffee and breakfast items like oatmeal and brown sugar to start your day right...ketchup, mustard, syrup, hot chocolate, coffee, tea, marshmallows and many other condiments to use if you like! n nLiving room, nelectric fireplace, Flat screen TV/DVD, VCR, boom box with Wifi internet. There are about 100 movies to chose from in the closet and an assortment of CD 's as well n n2 Bedrooms, nBeds very comfy Queen in master and 2 sets of bunks in room adjoining living room. Sheets in master at least 400 count. The leather couch also folds down to very comfortably sleep 2 more. Space for two air mattresses and I have them but remember there is only one bath! n nBathroom, nmarble and glass tile. My first tile wall layout! I have many items like iron. blow dryers, hot rollers, curling iron, flat iron, hair spray, first aid kit to make your travel easier stocked in closet. Tons of matching towels, 4 plush white robes, n nUpon request I have a pack and play, boxes of toys and games, water sports items like snorkel gear, a kayak if I am not using it!!! During ski season I have about 30 pairs of boots and 20 skis for just about every size except the really little ones...Gear also in case you need a face warmer , pair of bibs, helmet or googles. n nI live next door and am a massage therapist, energy healer, and now studying to teach yoga. I often have sunrise yoga free on my deck and special offers and access to my therapy room and library located on the property. . You can schedule massage, Trinfinity 8 sessions, Pulsed Electromagnetic Field Therapy, Inversion Table, Chi generator, among other treatment modalities. A valid Ohio fishing and/or hunting license is required. nHistory of the Area: n Before settlement of Ohio, dense forests covered much of the region. The forests were inhabited by Indians and wild animals including wolf, elk, bear and mountain lion. Indian trails and rivers provided access to the area. When settlers started moving west, they traveled the same routes as the Indians. Historic records recall only a few incidents between settlers and the Indians. n nJohn and Mary Young traveled to this area from New York and in 1797 platted a town on the bank of the Mahoning River. In 1803, the Youngs left the area due to homesickness, but the town (Youngstown) still bears their name. Shortly after the Young's departure, iron, coal and limestone were discovered in the nearby hills. In 1826, the first coal mine opened in the valley. After Lake Superior's extensive iron ore deposits were discovered, the Mahoning Valley steel industry grew at a rapid rate. Union Iron and Steel Company, the first Mahoning steel plant, opened in 1892. Additional mills and fabricating plants drew immigrants of all nationalities to the valley. n nIn 1910, the city of Youngstown acquired 3,416 acres in Milton Township to construct a reservoir to be used as a water supply. A 2,800-foot dam was completed in 1913 impounding 1,640 acres on the Mahoning River. Lake Milton included a small amusement park at Craig Beach with a swimming beach, roller coaster, boat trips and a busy midway. The east side of the lake included taverns, a dance hall and a skating rink. n nDuring the 1970s, mounting problems with the Lake Milton dam demanded attention. Considering safety factors, the gates were opened in the spring of 1986 and the lake was drained. State assistance was sought and shortly thereafter repairs to the dam began.
