The bedroom sleeps a couple on the queen-sized bed, while the living room can accommodate one more on the twin-sized daybed. Rogers Park is a wonderfully diverse neighborhood, with Indian, Peruvian, Mexican and Eritrean restaurants all within a couple of blocks of the apartment. The Red Line elevated train runs 24 hours a day, and is a block from the apartment, while a bus a half block away offers a more scenic route to downtown. Street parking is also an option. Description:***NOTE***: My apartment is currently unavailable for hosting. I used AirBnB for a longer-term sublet while I was traveling. Now that I am back, the apt is not available. I am keeping my listing however, in the case that I travel again. My apartment is located on the southern edge of Andersonville, which is on the north side of Chicago. Just up the street are many restaurants, bars, independent shops, and cafes. The area is family-friendly, GLBT-friendly, and pretty much friendly and safe all around. It is a lively area during the day and in the evening, but my apartment is pretty quiet most of the time. The apartment is a large one bedroom with a sunny, south-facing living room, dining room, bathroom, and kitchen. There is also a back landing (convenient for smokers, as I don't allow smoking in my apartment). There is wifi internet available and a TV/DVD player in the living room. There's no cable, but I still get most of the basic channels. The kitchen has all of the cooking amernities you'd need, including blender, espresso machine, microwave, dishwasher, stove/oven, toaster, etc. There is a washer and dryer in the basement of the building - you'll need some quarters to pay for your laundry. The apartment is close to public transportation. Only a 5 minute walk to the Red Line train, and the Clark bus (#22) is right around the corner. Several other buses are nearby as well. For those with cars, there is free parking on the street and is usually not too difficult to find.... more info >>
