Description:Close to Eugene, Oregon, country cabin is simple, clean, private and comfortable. This basic sunny cabin has wi fi, heat and air conditioning, bathroom with shower and kitchenette. It is on a hillside overlooking Lane Community College, the mountains and valley. It is pet friendly and has a nice walking park nearby. It is 1/2 mile to a bus stop and convenience store. (Note: the bus does not run on weekends...) The cabin has one bed with a cot that can be set up for a second guest. It is furnished with sheets and towels. Rural setting has cows, chickens and llamas. One mile off Interstate 5, it is within 10 minutes of downtown Springfield and Eugene. Parking available for one vehicle only. Eugene is home to the University of Oregon and there is lots to do. Within a 1 hour drive west to the coast or 1 hour east into the mountains, this is a nature lover's paradise...with plenty of fishing, mushroom foraging, hiking, biking, running trails, arts and entertainment close at hand. On occasion, airport pickup, a private city tour and exploratory trips into the surrounding countryside can be arranged with the owner for a fee. Owner is an avid outdoorswoman, enjoys fishing, mushrooming, exploring, and has good knowledge of the area. Our backyard has comfy seating and plenty of shade with an electric grill. If you promise to take good care of our bikes, they are yours to use. Portland ain't the same in a car than on a bike. There is on-street parking and Chris and Linda are the best neighbors one could have. The whole apartment is available since we will be in Barcelona, however, we will leave maps, books and a list of our favorite spots for you to explore. Unfortunately, we can't offer our home on a nightly basis because we won't be around to manage it. And it will certainly not take you much longer than the main route. Closure notifications can be made by the City of Seattle a week prior. If you happen to be here during a closure, please talk to me and I will let you know which alternative routes to take... that way you don't waste your time driving around in circles ( = you get the simplest route from A to B). The buses will be rerouted into Downtown, but the route number stays the same.
